![]() Kindly guide me where I need to do configuration in order to make it work for public IP. So bottom line it works for private IP, but port is not working for public ip. Problem c) if I go to my windows machine which I actually want and do do "telnet 7180" then it does not work Problem b) If I go on another machine in Azure and try to do "telnet 7180" then it does not work. Problem a) if being on same machine I do "telnet 7180" then it does not work. When I login to azure VM via putty and do "telnet localhost 7180" it works which gives me an impression that port is open, if I execute same command with different port then it rightly does not workī) On same VM, when I do telnet on internal private ip which I also have added in /etc/hosts file "telnet 7180" then also it works Step 4: On my windows machine, I open port 7180 both as inbound and outbound Iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -dport 7180 -j ACCEPT Step 3: I go to Iptables and add 7180 to accept I go to management portal and add 7180 on tcp as endpoint # ::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6 Step 1: I added Private IP in /etc/hosts file
